Bayern Munich overcome 16-point deficit to take down Anadolu Efes / News - Basketnews.com

Bayern won the fourth quarter by 13 points and comfortably defeated Efes even though the Turkish team was leading by 16 points in the third quarter.

FC Bayern Munich (8-12) had a significant deficit in the third quarter but came back and defeated Anadolu Efes Istanbul (10-10) 89-81 (24-21, 12-19, 23-24, 30-17).

Anadolu Efes were leading by 16 points in the middle of the third quarter (59-43) but the German team bounced back. Bayern ended the quarter with an impressive 16-5 run and were down by just five points (64-59).

The same story continued in the fourth quarter as well. Othello Hunter hit a three-pointer to tie the game with just under 5 minutes to go (74-74), and the away team never looked back.

Shot after shot, Bayern continued to overtake Efes and already had a 10-point lead with two minutes remaining in the game (87-77). The reigning EuroLeague champions didn't manage to come back and suffered their second loss in the last three games.

Othello Hunter continued his impressive recent form with a game-high 18 points, while also grabbing 9 rebounds. Cassius Winston added 14 points and 8 assists.

Vasilije Micic led Efes with 15 points on 6-for-16 shooting, Elijah Bryant added 13 points and 5 rebounds.
