After talking about his and his family's life while being declared a terrorist by the Turkish state, Kanter later answered a question about Bosnian basketball star Dzanan Musa who's currently playing his best season with Real Madrid in the EuroLeague.

"I remember when he played before [he came to] the NBA, I was watching him, and he was a very special player," Kanter said. "I really like watching him. I remember that I shook his hand after one of his games and I said 'Good luck with your next steps in your career'."

"I love watching European basketball and he's playing unbelievably. I just hope he can come back to America and the NBA soon and represent his country, represent his faith, represent his family, and his life," he shared. "I'm really excited for him. And he's still young! He's still a very young player. I believe that one day he will make his return to the NBA and will be a very good player in the league."

Having previously been neglected on the Anadolu Efes Istanbul roster, Musa is now shining as a member of Real Madrid, averaging 15.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists for 15.6 PIR in the EuroLeague.
