Gian Clavell leads the Slobozhanske team with an average of 16.4 points, while D.J. Stephens is unbeatable in rebounds, grabbing 7 balls per game. David Kennedy has the best ranking for assists (4.1 avg.).
"We are in a good moment now," shared Prometey head coach Ronen Ginzburg. "Of course, I do not expect this to last forever and win every game. However, I am extremely pleased with the recent team performance and the momentum we have right now. We started to defend better than before, and injured players returned to the lineup, which automatically relieved the situation."
"Finally, the atmosphere in the team is electric. Ondrej Balvin and D.J. Kennedy struggled a bit at the beginning of the season and have looked better and better in the last 5-6 games. Everything is coming together, and we are now well on our way. You need to learn how to deal with all kind of challenges that comes your way, that is the game," Ginzburg continued.
When asked how he plans to maintain great results, the coach did not focus on the results.
"First of all, after the game, we analyze the good moments that we would like to perform even better. We also talk about weaknesses, show a lot of video footage, and want to give them even more confidence. However, we cannot only be happy with the current result, we must continue our work," said the tactician.

"It is not easy for us this season," Ginzburg admitted. "It is hard because of the fans. Riga is very hospitable to us, but it is not our home. But you know what they say, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger."
"Players got used to this situation, and we feel comfortable there. When moving to Kaunas, we understand basketball traditions in this country are next level. This is a new experience not just for the players but for me as a coach as well. I can't complain, everything is fine now," Ginzburg added.

Ginzburg was pleasantly surprised by Ukrainians wish to support their own team no matter the country they play in.
"I remember our first victory in the EuroCup. 50 to 100 people came from Dnipro to the match in Riga, and they were so happy. They also went to a match in Venice. It is really exciting to see those people supporting our team, knowing the current situation. We appreciate their efforts to come such a long way. These things touched me personally. After the first victory, seeing people smiling was much more important than a victory itself," told the coach.
Prometey Slobozhanske is coming to Kaunas Zalgirio arena on February 8 for the second time. They will be playing against Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana.
