Kevin Durant will be re-evaluated again in two weeks after an MCL sprain suffered on Jan. 8. There is optimism that he will return to action for Nets ahead of the All-Star break, and play in the All-Star Game.

TheBrooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant is making progress in his recovery from an MCL sprain as planned and will be re-evaluated again in two weeks, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

There is optimism that the 34-year-old forward will return to action ahead of the All-Star break, and play in the All-Star Game, via the report. All-Star Weekend will take place in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Feb. 17-19.

Durant will begin running and on-court activities this week, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski adds.

KD sustained a right knee injury in a 102-101win over the Miami Heat on January 8.

Two-time NBA champ and 12-time All-Star averages 29.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists over 39 games this season.

He is the Nets' MVP candidate which would be his second award after becoming the NBA Most Valuable Player in 2014.
