Luca Vildoza admitted that hitting shots offensively doesn't mean that much if you're making mistakes defensively. He has to work on his conditioning and defense, the Argentinian told after the game.

The second iteration of the Belgrade derby came this Friday evening, and it was a nail-biter until the very end for the second time as well.

Luca Vildoza was the top scorer of the match, he also had the highest PIR value of all the players in both teams but it didn't help to get the victory against Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade's eternal opponent Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade.

"They were winning the entire game. In the end, we had some chances to come back but I think they did a great job so congratulations to Partizan," Vildoza said after the match.

"As I said in the locker room, I know it hurts, it's the derby but it's just one game, one EuroLeague game," the guard explained. "We have to go to Italy and win those two."

It was Vildoza's third game since coming back from an injury he suffered almost a month ago against FC Barcelona. When he was asked how he was feeling, the Argentinian guard opened up on his defensive struggles.

"I'm feeling better. I need to improve my conditioning. Yeah, I was scoring but I wasn't playing really good defense. I think I had some mistakes, especially at the end. They had some open shots, and it was my fault a little bit," Vildoza shared.

"I need to keep working on my physical condition. I'm getting back a little bit. I know I've been hitting some shots, some crazy shots but I need to get better on defense," he concluded.

After the game, both Serbian teams share the same record in the EuroLeague of 10 wins and 11 losses with Crvena Zvezda holding the tiebreaker advantage by winning the first derby by three (76-73).
