Kostas Sloukas did not travel with the team to Istanbul and will miss the game against Fenerbahce. Olympiacos hope he will be able to return on Friday against Efes. Even though Alec Peters suffered a minor leg injury on Sunday, it's nothing serious and he travelled with the team.

Olympiacos Piraeus star guard Kostas Sloukas suffered a hematoma of the quadratus lumborum muscle in the spine last week and didn't finish the game against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv.

The guard didn't play in the Greek League on Sunday as well. It is now clear that Sloukas will miss the EuroLeague matchup against Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul on Tuesday as well.

Olympiacos hope that Sloukas can be available on Friday in a game against Anadolu Efes Istanbul.

At the same time, Alec Peters suffered a minor leg injury during yesterday's game against Aris Thessaloniki but he will travel with the team and will be available for head coach Georgios Bartzokas.

With just over 4 minutes left in the second quarter against Maccabi, Sloukas drove to the basket during a fast break when he was stopped by Jarrell Martin in the paint. Although a defensive foul was called, the guard fell awkwardly on his back during the play.

A minute later, the star guard asked to be substituted as he couldn't continue playing at full strength.

Olympiacos went on to win the game. With 14 wins and 7 losses, the Greek team is currently at the top of the EuroLeague standings.
