The Alava Provincial Council will present Laso with the Alava Medal, the highest honor the municipality can give to a citizen.
Born in Vitoria-Gasteiz of the Alava region, Laso is a two-time EuroLeague winner and a six-time Spanish League and Spanish Cup champion as a coach. As a player, he spent his first 11 seasons in the Spanish League in his hometown team and he's still the league's all-time leader in assists and steals until this day.
