The injury occurred with 2:01 remaining in the third tally when Dallas' McKinley Wright IV's right knee clashed with Curry's left knee on a drive to the hoop. Curry was called for a foul on the play.
The All-Star limped to the bench, then to the locker room, where X-rays were negative.
The Warriors announced during the fourth quarter that Curry would have a subsequent MRI either later Saturday night or on Sunday.
"That's all I have is that he's going to get an MRI. I know he had an X-ray and that he's getting an MRI. That's it. I haven't talked to him or Rick or anybody yet," Steve Kerr said after the game.
"Anytime a guy's going to get an MRI there's a concern level. This is for sure. So we'll just have to wait and see the results," the Warriors head coach added.
Curry, who missed 11 games earlier this season with a left shoulder subluxation, scored a team-high 21 points in 26 minutes with six rebounds and seven assists before his latest injury.
The Warriors ended up winning the game vs. Mavs, 119-113.
