According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, the sharpshooter is expected to be sidelined for multiple weeks.

In an update later provided by the team, Curry suffered partial tears to his superior tibiofibular ligaments and interosseous membrane and a contusion to his lower left leg.

The injury occurred with 2:01 remaining in the third quarter when Dallas Mavericks guard McKinley Wright IV's right knee clashed with Curry's left knee on a drive to the hoop. Curry was called for a foul on the play.

The All-Star limped to the bench, then to the locker room, where X-rays were negative.

Curry, who missed 11 games earlier this season with a left shoulder subluxation, scored a team-high 21 points in 26 minutes with six rebounds and seven assists before getting injured.

With the NBA All-Star Game scheduled for February 19th, a new player might become an All-Star if Curry cannot play. Additionally, either Ja Morant or Shai Gilgeous-Alexander would replace Curry in the starting lineup.

The replacement for an injured All-Star player is selected by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

Curry has been averaging 29.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game for the Warriors this season.
