In an update later provided by the team, Curry suffered partial tears to his superior tibiofibular ligaments and interosseous membrane and a contusion to his lower left leg.
The injury occurred with 2:01 remaining in the third quarter when Dallas Mavericks guard McKinley Wright IV's right knee clashed with Curry's left knee on a drive to the hoop. Curry was called for a foul on the play.
The All-Star limped to the bench, then to the locker room, where X-rays were negative.
Curry, who missed 11 games earlier this season with a left shoulder subluxation, scored a team-high 21 points in 26 minutes with six rebounds and seven assists before getting injured.
With the NBA All-Star Game scheduled for February 19th, a new player might become an All-Star if Curry cannot play. Additionally, either Ja Morant or Shai Gilgeous-Alexander would replace Curry in the starting lineup.
The replacement for an injured All-Star player is selected by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.
Curry has been averaging 29.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game for the Warriors this season.
