James says he is not happy that his and Kyrie's reunion did not happen. The tandem helped the Cleveland Cavaliers to the 2016 NBA championship.

"Definitely disappointing," LeBron pointed out. "I can't sit here and say I'm not disappointed on not being able to land such a talent, but [also] someone that I had great chemistry with and know I got great chemistry with on the floor that can help you win championships, in my mind, in my eyes. But my focus has shifted now. My focus has shifted back to where it should be and that's this club now and what we have in the locker room.

"So we had an opportunity, our names were out there, the Lakers name was out there. We had an opportunity, it didn't happen. We move on and we finish this season strong, try to get a bid into the postseason, where I feel if we go in healthy, we can compete with anybody," he added.

James previously posted a cryptic message when news about Kyrie Irving's trade to Mavs broke out.

"Maybe it's me," James tweeted.

"It's all about accountability for me," LeBron said of his tweet. "I'm always challenging myself, taking accountability for myself. I think your greatest challenge and your greatest enemy is the person that you look at in the mirror."

Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving, a seven-time All-Star, continues to prove that he is still one of the best point guards in the league, averaging 27.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.3 assists over 40 games for the Brooklyn Nets this season.
