NFL's New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner indirectly criticized Ja Morant for pretending that he's from the hood when he has millions of dollars in his bank account.

Ja Morant recently got into another scandal when one of his friends was banned from entering the Memphis Grizzlies arena for a year.

Following the news, NFL's New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner took to Twitter to express his view about the situation and indirectly criticize Morant.

"Pro Athletes, if you really from the trenches, you ain’t gotta prove it every time you know eyes on you. A lot of y’all ain’t even like that for real and THATS FINE! All your life, you grind to go pro, make it pro & start making millions, and then turn gangsta? That’s backwards," Gardner tweeted.

During the game against the Indiana Pacers on January 29th, Morant's long-time friend Devonte Pack directed some comments toward Pacers players amid a conflict between the teams on the court. Pack walked onto the court in the third quarter shouting at the opposing players, which forced the match's referee to stop the game and call for security to escort the man.

The incident continued after the game. Four or five men walked out of their nearby parked cars toward the Pacers bus and continued harassing the team. The verbal confrontation continue for about 15 to 20 minutes,Bob Kravitz and Sam Amick from The Athletic note.

Later on, Ja Morant joined his acquaintances and got into an SUV. A red laser was continuously pointed from the car at the players and coaches in the Pacers bus. The Pacers organization initially suspected that it was a gun but the NBA later denied it.

Sauce Gardner is one of the better up-and-coming players in his position. He is one of the favorites to win the NFL Rookie of the Year award. Additionally, he was selected to the NFL Pro Bowl, the equivalent of the NBA All-Star Game.

Earlier this year, Morant got into another scandal when he allegedly punched a teenager during a basketball game.
