According to Arale Weisberg from Walla Sport, the Israeli forward should get $800,000 (~€750,000) for the two additional seasons in the club.

Journalist Moses Barda reportsthat Sorkin has an NBA out in his contract and sees his future only either in Maccabi or in the NBA.

After averaging just 2.9 points and 1.8 rebounds for 3.2 PIR per game in the EuroLeague last year, Sorkin has seen a renaissance in his game this year. The Israeli forward averages 7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1 assist per game for 9.4 PIR.

"Roman will be one of the team's anchors, and one of our goals is to preserve the current roster and its continuity as much as possible," the team's chairman Shimon Mizrahi said following the signing.
