Jason Kidd describes Dallas Mavericks as Luka Doncic's team despite the arrival of Kyrie Irving.

"Now we have improved the roster where somebody else can handle the ball," the coach added and then reflected onIrving:
"You heard him say he wants to be coached, so my job is to push him."
For his part, Kyriecommented that he "feels really wanted" in Dallasfollowing his first action with the team.
"I want to be somewhere where I'm celebrated, not just tolerated. ... There were times in Brooklyn when I felt very disrespected," Irving declared.
Irving also said he and Doncic have texted since the trade, but "I like eye-to-eye contact."
"It's going to take some time," Kyrie said of building the connection. "Am I worried about coexisting or finding cohesion? No."
The Slovenian star is now recovering from a heel injury. He will miss Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers, where Irving is set to make his Mavs debut.
Doncic is having a phenomenal season with averages of 33.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per contest while shooting 50.4% from the field.
Irving, a seven-time All-Star, also continues to prove that he is still one of the best point guards in the league, averaging 27.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.3 assists over 40 games this season.
