Jasikevicius signed a three-year contract. He was called to lead the new project with the European title as a main goal. Despite being the best team during the Euroleague Regular Season, Barca have had two consecutive defeats in the EuroLeague Final Four.
The 46-year-old coach's contract expires this summer, and no negotiations have been engaged yet.
At least, this is what Jasikevicius has said in an interview at "Què t'hi Jugues?" from Cadena SER.
"We have not talked yet. Why do you ask me this? It does not depend only on me," admitted Saras.
"I can't talk too much about it. I have been in this situation as a player many times. I will try to do my job as best as I can. We should not think nor talk about this," Jasikevicius continued.
Jasikevicius kept explaining the current situation.
"It does not depend all on me. We must focus on the next practice and game. Let's see what happens. If we win titles, people will be happy, I'm sure."
Barcelona are expected to make some salary cuts for the next season. Asked if he would like to continue in Barcelona, Jasikevicius avoided the topic.
"This is weird, and if I answer this, you will write a bad headline. Let's focus on the season," he concluded.
FC Barcelona will play at Bologna against Virtus on Thursday night (20.30 CET).
