The Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Lakers, and Minnesota Timberwolves are reportedly in talks over a three-team trade including Mike Conley and D'Angelo Russell.

Both Shams Charania of The Athletic and Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported on the rumored trade Wednesday.

“The Lakers, Jazz, and Timberwolves are in discussions on a three-team deal that would send D'Angelo Russell to the Lakers, Russell Westbrook and draft compensation such as a first-round pick to Utah and Mike Conley Jr. to Minnesota," Charania tweeted.

Wojnarowski added that the three teams had been having discussions shortly after Charania’s tweet.

The NBA insider appeared on ESPN discussing trade rumors regarding Russell.

"This is a player who there is going to be further conversation about, along with Mike Conley, Malik Beasley [and] Jarred Vanderbilt."

Conley might not be the only player heading out at the trade deadline in a potential three-team trade.

"Ongoing discussions have included Utah's Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt as part of the potential three-team deal to the Lakers, sources said. Sides are working through pick protections and additional draft compensation too, per sources," according to Charania.

The Lakers have shown interest in trading nine time All-Star Russell Westbrook since the offseason.

D'Angelo Russell, who spent two seasons in Los Angeles (2015-17) to begin his career, is in the final year of his contract and is set to become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason.

As for the Utah Jazz, Mike Conley's name has come up in connection with the Lakers, but in this scenario as described by Charania, he would be going to the Timberwolves to replace D'Angelo Russell.
