Besides the Jazz and the Lakers, the Minnesota Timberwolves were involved in the trade as well.
Overall, the Lakers are receiving D'Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, and Jared Vanderbilt. The Timberwolves are getting Mike Conley, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and three second-round picks as part of the deal.
Jon Krawczynski from The Athletic adds that the three picks are a 2024 second-rounder, a 2025 second-rounder, and a 2026 second-rounder.
Westbrook took on a new role with the Lakers this year, starting most of the games off the bench. The guard has been averaging 15.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 7.5 assists this season.
D'Angelo Russell, meanwhile, started his NBA career with the Lakers back in 2015 before being involved in a trade carousel after two years in Los Angeles. This season, he's been averaging 17.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 6.2 assists for the Timberwolves.
