Zion Williamson's hamstring injury is not healing as quick as it was initially hoped. The forward will miss the upcoming three Pelicans games and will be sidelined during the All-Star Game. He is expected to be re-evaluated after the All-Star break.

Zion Williamson was set to play in his second All-Star Game in his career later this month but it now seems that the New Orleans Pelicans star will have to sit the festivities out.

Head coach Willie Green said the forward will be sidelined for the upcoming three Pelicans games and will also have to sit out the All-Star Game the next week.

Williamson is expected to be re-evaluated following the All-Star break, journalist Andrew Lopez from ESPN writes.

Zion injured his hamstring on January 2nd against the Philadelphia 76ers. The forwardgrabbed a defensive rebound with 37 seconds to go in the third quarter and dribbled the ball down the court. As he crossed the half-court line and went closer to the three-point line, Zion started limping before handing the ball toDyson Daniels.

The player went to the locker room and did not finish the game.

Williamson averages 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 4.6 assists for the Pelicans this season.
