Trinchieri, a former Serbian powerhouse coach, refused the idea that Bayern players were stunned by Partizan supporters in the beginning, but anyway gave huge credit for the away sector.
"It's always like that. They are the best fans in the world. Hands down. Everywhere they go, it's like this," Trinchieri said.
'Auf Wiedersehen' (Goodbye!) chants were heard loudly at the end of the game when Partizan were on the way to a comfortable 82-71 win.
"Of course, I want to thank these incredible people that support us," Zeljko Obradovic appreciated the support after the game.
Partizan athletes reiterated their head coach's words.
"They [Partizan fans] go with us everywhere. They understand how important it is to win on the road. For us, we are glad they were able to come and we just wanted to win for them," team captain Kevin Punter said.
"It's amazing, really. I have never seen that in my life, playing away, we felt like we were playing home," Mathias Lessort added. "They bring us their support even when we were away. When we are home, everybody knows how loud it can get but now, they showed that even on the road, they will be there to support us. We can't thank them enough, that's amazing."
Partizan improved to 13-11 in the EuroLeague standings while Bayern dropped to 9-15 after their second loss against coach Zeljko Obradovic's team.
