Player of the Game EFF 27 Spencer Dinwiddie Points 25 Accuracy 8-17 Rebounds 5 Assists 6
Thomas did a post-game interview for TNT alongside his teammate Spencer Dinwiddie. Earlier, Dinwiddie joked that the Nets did not receive the most talented players in the trade with the Dallas Mavericks, but they did get 'the best-looking' ones.
"The Nets needed some help in that department," Dinwiddie said back then.
TNT asked Thomas about Dinwiddie's comment, who replied: "We already had good-looking guys, no homo."
Moments later, Thomas issued an apology on social media.
"I want to apologize for the insensitive word I used in the postgame interview," Thomas said. "I was excited about the win and was being playful. I definitely didn't intend to offend anyone, but realize that I probably did. My apologies again. Much love."
In a 116-105 win against the Bulls, Thomas scored 20 points (2/10 2PT, 1/6 3PT, 13/13 FT) and added 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 turnovers.
