Bogdan Bogdanovic's jersey was auctioned off for 135,000 Turkish liras (~€6700, ~$7200).

The Kahramanmaras earthquake in Turkey and Syria has disrupted the daily life of millions of people in the region. Some members of the European basketball community decided to help out.

Led by Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul's guard Melih Mahmutoglu, several notable names in European basketball auctioned off their jerseys. All proceedings from the auctions will go to the Ahbap relief organization which helps provide shelter, food, and medical supplies for those in need.

Atlanta Hawks guard Bogdan Bogdanovic was one of the players who joined the call and auctioned off his no. 13 jersey. His shirt was tied for first place among the most wanted with the final sum reaching 150,000 Turkish liras (~€7450, ~$7970).

A shirt with all Fenerbahce players' signatures was also sold for 150,000 Turkish liras.

In addition to Bogdanovic and Fenerbahce, Luigi Datome, Shane Larkin, and Jan Vesely (sold for 80,000 TL) were auctioning off their jerseys as well.

The jerseys of Larkin and Datome are still going on. People can participate in the auction by writing Melih Mahmutoglu a private message either on Instagram or Twitter with the caption "Larkin Forması İçin Bağış Teklifi:" ("Donation Offer for Larkin Jersey:") or "Vesely Forması İçin Bağış Teklifi:" ("Donation Offer for Vesely Jersey:").

The auctions for the jerseys of the two remaining players close at 22:00 Turkish time on Sunday, February 12th.

According to the latest information, the death toll has surpassed 25,000.
