On the other hand, Sao Paulo couldn't celebrate their first-ever trophy conquest in this competition.

The Uruguayan point guard earned MVP honors, three years after his teammate Marcelinho Huertas had won the accolade. The Brazilian guard, however, was the first player to lift the trophy, along with his long-time teammate Giorgi Shermadini.
Two-time NBA champion with the San Antonio Spurs Malik Rose was the one who handed the trophy to Fitipaldo.
For Tenerife, Sasu Salin scored 15 and Aaron Doornekamp 13 points. The hosts never gave up on their lead and comfortably secured another title on home soil after 2017 (BCL, Intercontinental Cup) and 2020 (Intercontinental Cup).
Sao Paulo relied on an eight-man rotation and after a partly competitive first half (43-35 for the hosts), were unable to keep up.
Lenovo Tenerife won their semi-final against Tunisian side US Monastir with authority (112-42), whileSao Paulo put on a show against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the other semi-final (91-70), powered by Malcolm Miller's 24 points, and Tulio Da Silva's monster double-double of 19 points and 15 rebounds.
Da Silva posted another double-double vs. Tenerife (13 points, 12 rebounds), but overall, the team from the Canary Islands was too much to handle for the South Americans, who found some consolation in Henrique Coelho's 18-point performance.
