Therefore Ioannis Papapetrou and Yam Madar did not make the 12-man cut.
The final Partizan list includes youngsters -- Savo Drezgic and Viktor Mikic -- as well as well-known names like Tristan Vukcevic, Zach LeDay, Aleksa Avramovic, Kevin Punter (has a Serbian passport), Alen Smailagic, Dante Exum, James Nunnally, Mathias Lessort, Uros Trifunovic, and Danilo Andusic.
Papapetrou had health problems in the previous days and missed the last EuroLeague game vs. FC Bayern Munich. He has averaged 5.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 5.4 PIR over 23 EuroLeague games this season.
As for Madar, he was left out of the Korac Cup squad last year as well. The Israeli NT member has posted 6.0 points, 1.0 boards, 1.4 dimes, and 5.0 PIR in the same 23 EuroLeague appearances.
"It's not an easy decision when you have to remove someone from the team. Fortunately, we have two more competitions that are very important to us. There will be time for everyone," coach Obradovic said.
The Serbian mini-tournament in Nis starts on Feb. 15 and ends on Feb. 18.
