Argentinian basketball legend and current CEO of Pallacanestro Varese, Luis Scola thinks that it was a good decision by the player.
"I wasn't surprised, he chose what he thought was best for him," Scola said to the Spanish news agency EFE. "Crvena Zvezda is a great basketball team in the EuroLeague, they have a great coach and a big chance to do important things in the tournament. Besides, Belgrade is an iconic city of European basketball."
Before coming back to Europe, Campazzo managed to play in 138 NBA games, averaging 5.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per contest.
"I thought his step to go to the NBA was good. He had the opportunity to be there, to play there for two years, sometimes even as a starter. He played in the playoffs," Scola evaluated. "It seemed like a good step to me. We all would've liked him to stay there longer but overall I think it went well for him."
