The Argentinian national team will receive a huge upgrade in the FIBA World Cup 2023 Qualifiers.

Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade's president Nebojsa Covic has announced that Facundo Campazzo will compete for this country's colors in the upcoming international tournament.

Even though the electric point guard will come to play, his teammate will stay in Serbia. Luca Vildoza will not play for Argentina, Covic said.

The Argentinian national team hasn't qualified for the World Cup yet. With 7 wins and 3 losses, they share second place in Group A with Venezuela and the Dominican Republic. As only the top three teams go through to the main tournament, the remaining stage of the Qualifiers is crucial.

Only two games remain in the Qualifiers, and Argentina will most likely need to win both matches in order to qualify. The first battle comes against the already-qualified Canada while the second match is against the Dominican Republic.

If Argentina doesn't succeed to be among the top three teams in the group, they still have a chance to go to the World Cup as the best fourth team between the two groups.
