The NBA All-Star Three-Point Contest is going to take place this upcoming Saturday. All eight participants have been revealed.

According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics), Kevin Huerter (Sacramento Kings), Tyler Herro (Miami Heat), Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield (both from Indiana Pacers), Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons (both from Portland Trail Blazers), and Lauri Markkanen (Utah Jazz) will compete for the title.

Out of the eight participants, Buddy Hield boasts the highest three-point shooting percentage of 42.3% and is currently 11th in the league in that regard. What makes the number more impressive, the Pacers guard is first in the league in three-point attempts with 530.

The lowest shooting percentage currently belongs to Jayson Tatum. The Celtics superstar shoots at 35.3% beyond the arc and is placed 102nd among all NBA players in the three-point shooting accuracy category.

Besides Hield, three other players from the All-Star Three-Point Contest round out the top-4 in three-point attempts this season - Simons is second (512), Tatum is third (502), and Lillard is fourth (496).

During the competition, all eight players have 60 seconds to make as many shots as possible from the designated spots. There are five racks around the three-point line with five balls each, one of them being the money ball, which is worth two points.

One of the five racks consists of five money balls. The player can choose in which spot of the five the rack is placed.

There are two extra Mountain Dew Spots several meters away from the three-point line. Players attempt one shot from each spot, and each of them is worth three points. The three best shooters from round one make it to the final round where the overall winner is crowned.

Buddy Hield has won the contest in 2020.
